Coronavirus Update
As most of us know, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is, and will for the foreseeable future, be having a major impact on the way we go about our daily business. You could say for most of us, ‘it’s being a bit of a rascal’ or more probably, a ‘bloody nuisance’, however, for some, this disease will have more of an impact. Because of this, some of our priorities and procedures will be changing and may continue to change until further notice.
At Guide Bridge MOT and Service Centre our priority is, as always, the safety of our customers, staff, suppliers and the wider community. As such, we will keep you informed of the measures we are putting in place to help keep everyone as safe as possible, how we can help support our customers and community during these unusual times and where we hope you can support us in ensuring we keep delivering a quality, cost-effective service you can rely on.
Safety
We always keep our customer areas clean and tidy, however, we are being more vigilant than usual, all surfaces are being wiped down on a regular basis and hand sanitiser is being made available to all. Our staff will be regularly washing their hands and wearing protective gloves. We will limit the number of staff who interact with your vehicle, when they do interact with your vehicle, any surfaces they have been in contact with will be wiped down. We will be limiting the number of visitors to our site and asking non-essential visitors to contact us by email or phone.
How we can help and support you
We will continue to offer our Collection and Deliver service, however, we will prioritise those who need to ‘Socially Distance’ themselves (this is not the same as self -isolation, please inform us if you are self-isolating, we may need to change your appointment) this will include: Those over 70, those who are considered vulnerable and at risk, NHS and Emergency front line workers.
If you are experiencing financial concerns due to work restrictions, we will in some cases, be able to relax our Payment Assist conditions, this allows you to pay for repairs over a 4 month period. NHS and Front line workers can also take advantage of their discount schemes. Our collection and delivery times may need to be moved to outside normal hours. Please ask us for details.
How you can help us
As with any small business, we rely on your continued custom. To operate effectively we need to manage our booking diary efficiently. We need to know as soon as possible if you cannot make your appointment, and we need to know if you have any symptoms that could affect any member of our staff. We would also ask you to be flexible with timings such as: how quickly we can accommodate your booking, within reason, the time you are expecting work to be completed.
Your vehicle is presented to us in a condition that will not cause any health and safety concerns i.e. it does not contain waste food wrappings, drink cartons and hygiene products. Other than this, please inform us if you need any of the other products or services we offer as soon as possible, this way, we can plan our workshop and reception activities.
Please be assured, we will be doing all we can to ensure we are here to help when you need us.
Best wishes and please stay safe
