I've taken my car here twice now for it's MOT and service and have found it to be really good both times. On the first occasion, after being quoted £500 + for a major service & MOT from JCT600 I opted for Halfords who did it for approximately half the price. On the second occasion (today) for a normal service and MOT it was a competitive price and the work was done no problems. They also advised of work that would need carrying out in the future and provided quotes, which I liked a lot. I also like that you can book it in on a Saturday, dropped it off around 10.30am and it was ready by 3pm approx, which I thought was pretty quick - I've found that most garages aren't even open Saturday afternoon. Just having read some of the reviews I really can't understand them. I thought the member of staff was great and if anything over polite. I will certainly be using this place again.

Booked the car in for MoT and Service. Very professional undertaking of the task with full details of what works were needed. Very nice chap explained everything and quoted the cost of repair accurately. Then the repair required more work than expected but, again, informed me of everything and even did additional work for a very reasonable fee. Would highly recommend this garage for any work needed. Well done to all the team.

Booked in for 11:30 on a Saturday - nothing on the booking to suggest that that isn't the time you're work is going to be undertaken or that you'll be leaving your car - although I expected an hour or so. The bloke on the desk really need to work on his customer service - comes across like we're a chore to be there not the customer by any means. Was advised the job would be completed between 3 - 4 - why we have to drop off so early is beyond me - arrived at 4:10 to pick the car up - car hasn't even moved. No apologies, no offer of discount - two wasted journey's (2 cars) for an incompetently run operation to not even complete the work - cancelled the job - I think they were grateful - probably meant an early finish. Shambles.

Went for car service, booked and done. The assistant offered me engine & fuel cleaner. I took the offer up, I thought they care . The assistant then said is there anything you would like us to review. I said yes the wipers the water is not coming from them please sort & fix.Charged over & beyond service and they didn’t even bother to look. Will definitely won’t be using this branch again. In addition picked out issues that they wanted business for. I would not recommend , sorry. Lesson always listen to your customer than making a fast cash

My partner dropped of the car which was a silver Astra and was spoken to very rudely by a member of staff will not be ever using again. By the member of staffs voice he didn’t want to speak to my misses and do the job that was laid for already from the website. My partner who was told to wear a mask and told the staff that she is exempted from wearing one started giving her dirty looks and did not provide a list of problems on a sheet of paper which is not hard to print out from the computer I am sorry to say Halfords have lost a customer Manchester road bd5 Halfords are not nice people and seemed it was the skin colour they did not like
