Went in for an SRS reset. Charged £70 for a job that takes 10 minutes to do. No problem with the airbags, the SRS light was on due to the battery being disconnected. You could have purchased an OBD reader and done the job for far less than what they charged and saved yourself money. The car also needed a new wiper/indicator stalk as the contacts failed on the old one, meaning the wipers would not work automatically. They charged £92 for a new stalk replacement, when researched, you could purchase one yourself for £48 on ebay and even at various automotive outlets. They then decided that it would take 2 hours to complete the job before actually starting the job. In actual fact it took them less than an hour but still charged for 2 hours of labour. In total for both jobs they charged £285 vat included. When getting ready to drive away the SRS light was back on as it had not been reset after the steering wheel and airbag had been removed for the fitting of the new wiper/indicator stalk. I would not recommend and would suggest that you research costs of items should you decide to use this garage.

Wiper motor repair. Diagnostic - £35 2 hours labour £70 £45 to repair motor. VAT on-top £180. Thought this was expensive for a repair, granted a new wiper motor is £350 so happy it could be repaired. Quoted £150 but didn't realise that was without VAT.

I had an unusual fault on my car that my normal garage couldn't/wouldn't look at. Having never used Wigan Auto Electrical Centre before I went with the good reviews and hoped they wouldn't quote £?k for a new flux capacitor. The car was fixed and ready before lunchtime and the bill was good, even for a tight git like me. Highly recommended.
